PRIMA
PRIMA INDUSTRIE, is leader in three-dimensional laser cutting and welding applications. Pioneer as from 1979 in three-dimensional cutting and welding of BIW components, from then on PRIMA INDUSTRIE 2D and 3D machines mark the time in laser.
Its products (Platino, Syncrono, Domino, Rapido, and Optimo just to mention some of the most important brands) are characterised by flying optics, Cartesian architecture, compact structure, large work volumes, full accessibility, and easy programmability.
The company, which exports more than 2/3 of its sales, is based in Turin, Italy, and enjoys an excellent market coverage worldwide thanks to the companies of PRIMA Group: Prima Electronics in Italy, PRIMA North America in The States, European branch offices, and Joint Ventures in China and Japan.
PRIMA INDUSTRIE¡¯s know-how encompasses machine, laser and CNC: all conceived, designed and manufactured within the PRIMA Group.
RELATED PROJECTS:
o My-car (FP6-026631-2). This is one integrated project funded under the 6th framework programme of the European community. This project deals with Flexible Assembly Processes for the Car of the Third Millennium.
o Factory Pamela (Eureka Project EU 2791). This project is about the high laser cutting speed machine development for the working of thin metal sheets
o Resalt (Prot. N. 9223). The project wants to study and develop a flexible and advanced remote high power CO2 laser welding system for prevalently used applications in the automotive field.
ROLE WITHIN THE PROJECT:
1) Definition of specification concerning the factory simulation sector, especially for what concerns the incorporation of laser industrial processing into the factory simulated operation, and for what concerns the design and management of manufacturing systems within the digital enterprise.
2) Supply of industrial manufacturing know-how in laser processing systems, supply and evaluation of test cases, as well as direct development of subsystems and modules that could be used industrially for the design of laser-based industrial cells and lines.
3) Co-development of collaborative working environments by applying teleoperation and/or teleassistance of manufacturing cells and/or lines.
4) User of Factory Constructor and Training simulator.
