MTA SZTAKI
Upon the charge by the Secretary-general of the Academy, the supervision of the scientific activity pursued at the Institute is provided by the Board of the Institute.
MTA SZTAKI is the Hungarian acronym for "The Computer and Automation Research Institute, Hungarian Academy of Sciences".
The fundamental task of the Institute is to perform basic and application oriented research in an interdisciplinary setting in the field of computer science, intelligent systems, process control, wide-area networking and multimedia. The tasks are performed on the basis of contracts with the aim of transferring the research results into the industry and state administration.
The Profile of the Institute:
Comprehensive basic- and application-oriented research in informatics, systems and control theory, applied mathematics and the profitable exploitation of the particular knowledge and experience acquired, in the fields of Research & Development and system-integration, consulting, education and software development
